The Division of Continuing Education at UCF in association with the Central Florida Human Resource Association is seeking additional instructors for the Professional Human Resource Management program (i.e., PHR/SPHR preparation course) and instructors for the SHRM Essentials of HR Management Certificate Program.
The purpose of the PHR/SPHR certification preparation course is to help attendees' prepare for passing the PHR/SPHR exams. The course currently runs twice a year for 12 weeks, once in the Spring and once in the Fall although an expansion plan is being developed to include day time and weekend classes as well as additional evening courses at new locations.
Instructors must be certified as SPHR or PHR and are expected to have expert knowledge of the subject matter and be capable of teaching at least one of the six modules of the HRCI body of knowledge using the SHRM Learning System.
The purpose of the SHRM Essentials Certificate Program is to provide an overview of key areas in human resource management to individuals newly hired in the field of HR, those transitioning to HR from other positions, those whose job descriptions have increased to include HR, or those wanting to enhance their knowledge of the human resource field.
Instructors are expected to have expert knowledge through education and experience in areas of the HR Essentials curriculum and hold PHR or SPHR certification, or Masters or Ph.D. degree and HR training and development experience.
