PMI recently completed a Role Delineation Study (RDS). This study provides an updated description of the role of the project manager. From this study, the PMP exam and exam content outline was updated effective January 12, 2016.
How is the PMP affected?
The five domains of practice for the PMP remain the same. However, 8 new tasks have been added and others have been revised or removed.

Minimum three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing the project
