Description
Continuous changes in the medical billing and coding profession, as well as HIPAA changes, have created an incredible demand for people trained in coding. The Advanced Coding for the Physician's Office program is designed for students who have previous coding experience, have a basic coding education, or have completed the ed2go Administrative Medical Specialist with Medical Billing and Coding (AMS w/MBC) or Medical Billing and Coding program.
Click here for more information on the AMS w/MBC program.

CPT, ICD-9-CM (Volumes I and II), and HCPCS Level II coding are covered in this program, along with information on the Correct Coding Initiative (CCI), compliance and reimbursement issues, Official ICD-9-CM coding guidelines, and much more. You'll get important tips to increase your accuracy in code selections and make the billing process smoother, resulting in quicker and better reimbursement.
This program will also prepare you for the Certified Coding Specialist—Physician-based (CCS-P) certification exam offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Upon registering, you're given an initial six months to complete the program. Should you need more time, you may request a six-month extension at no additional charge.
