Advanced Modeling of Mobile Source Air Quality Impacts
The purpose of this course is to introduce the participants to the basic principles of mobile source air quality modeling. We will review the types and nature of mobile sources, the pollutants emitted by mobile sources, and the two main mobile source models – MOVES and CAL3QHC – and how they are used. After completion of this course, attendees will be able to intelligently discuss mobile source modeling, and be able to assess the need for a mobile source analysis, conduct a mobile source air quality analysis, and/or review a completed mobile source modeling study for consistency and appropriateness.
