Description
If you’re interested in starting a lucrative career as a Certified Architectural Glass Technician, this is the right program for you! Offered in partnership with the National Glass Association, this program will teach you the fundamentals of installing residential and commercial interior glass. You’ll master everything from basic safety rules to techniques for service, repair, and replacement. When you’re done, you’ll be ready to take the National Glass Association's Glass Installer Certification Exam.
To further prepare you for your new career, this program includes a 40-hour unpaid internship (where available). In addition, you’ll receive the Glass Installer Reference Manual and a voucher to take the Glass Installer Certification Exam.
Upon registering, you're given an initial six months to complete this program. Should you need more time beyond the six months, an extension of six months is available at no additional cost.

Prerequisites
This program is for you if you’re eager to learn the basics of architectural glass installation and repair. You do not need any prior experience or training in this field to participate in this program. You should have an Internet connection and e-mailing capabilities and be familiar with using the Internet.

Requirements
The Architectural Glass Technician Manual is included in the cost of the program, as is the voucher to take the National Glass Association's Glass Installer Certification Exam. High-speed Internet is recommended. You will need Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP1 or later), or Windows XP (SP 2 or later). You will also need Adobe Flash Player 8. This course can be taken on a PC or Mac. Computers that support the following browsers are adequate:

Instructor Bio
Matt Rumbaugh is Senior Manager for Education and Training at the National Glass Association (NGA). In this role, he oversees the NGA's education content across all platforms. Prior to joining NGA, he spent eight years at the Corporate Executive Board, a best practices research and executive education firm in Washington, DC. He is a graduate of Syracuse University.
