Public Notices
|
[*NOTICE*] TO MAINTAIN ACTIVE STATUS FOR NFIP ADJUSTER CERTIFICATION or to become flood certified, adjusters must attend a 2011 Claims Workshop.
[*NOTICE*] ALL PUBLIC ADJUSTER LICENSE CANDIDATES
The State of FL now requires all Public Adjuster license candidates to obtain the Accredited Claims Adjuster (ACA) Designation. No other designation satisfies the pre-licensing requirement for the public adjuster license. This information has been updated on the FLDFS site as of September 25, 2009. The ACA Designation is the license designation offered by the University of Central Florida/Florida Insurance University.
I have a Professional Certified Adjuster (PCA) designation and passed the new public adjuster examination. Does that qualify me to apply for the public adjuster apprentice license? No, only the Accredited Claims Adjuster (ACA) designation is acceptable. For more details, click here.
[*NOTICE*] BEGINNING JULY 1, 2007
All public adjuster candidates will be required to take state licensing test if they have not previously submitted an application for licensing to the FLDFS. (A public adjuster represents property owners against insurance companies).
This rule does not apply to the 5-20 independent and 6-20 company license which is available by designation.
[*NOTICE*] TEXAS non-Resident WARNING
A Texas non-resident adjuster license will NOT allow a Florida resident to obtain the Florida resident adjuster license by reciprocity! A number of Florida adjusters have taken a Texas pre-licensing course under the mistaken impression that the Texas course will allow a Florida resident to obtain the Florida All Lines License. It does not! |
