This program offers specialized, graduate-level knowledge for individuals currently working in the nonprofit sector or in organizations that partner with the nonprofit sector. The program provides advanced knowledge in nonprofit management, resource development, strategic planning, and program evaluation that serves to enhance the education and career development of students. |

Program Curriculum
The Master of Nonprofit Management program consists of 9 core courses (36 credit-hours), all of which are available online and taught by faculty who specialize in nonprofit management.

The core courses for the Master of Nonprofit Management provide a wealth of information on nonprofit management issues including how to:
- Start a successful nonprofit organization.
- File for 501(c) (3) not-for-profit status.
- Recruit, manage and retain volunteers.
- Locate and develop nonprofit financial resources by fundraising, including recruitment of in-kind and cash donations, grant funding, membership, sponsorship, bequests, and endowment funding.
- Search for Requests for Proposals and write winning grant applications.
- Provide leadership and administrative support for nonprofit organizations.
- Evaluate nonprofit and public programs.
- Manage and invest finances of nonprofit organizations for short- and long-term success.
- Effectively hire and manage motivated nonprofit employees.
- Facilitate development of a strategic plan for a nonprofit organization.
Additionally, the Master of Nonprofit Management program emphasizes "service-learning," whereby students solve real-world problems of organizations using knowledge learned in their coursework.

The Master of Nonprofit Management program at the University of Central Florida was selected to receive the 2005 Curriculum Innovation Award from the American Society for Public Administration on Sunday, April 3, at the society's annual conference in Milwaukee, Wis. Established in 2004, the program is offered completely online and provides students with the management and analytical skills needed for successful careers in the nonprofit sector.

Program Admission Requirements
The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is not required and will not be used as a consideration for admission to the Master of Nonprofit Management Cohort program. Consideration for admission is based on:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited education institution showing a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in all work attempted.
- A previous graduate degree in a related field (graduate transcripts must be on file with UCF).
- Supporting documentation
Supporting documentation: To be considered for admission into the program, students must submit all requested supporting documents. Documents must be on file with UCF by the application deadline date:
- Undergraduate transcripts with the equivalent of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or higher,
- Graduate transcripts if you have completed another graduate degree,
- A resume (resume must be uploaded to your application),
- A Statement of Interest – please address your interest in being in the MNM program as well as your future goals in nonprofit management (statement must be uploaded to your application), and
- Three letters of recommendation from professors or other professional individuals.
