University of Central Florida, Continuing Education (CE)
The Division of Continuing Education at UCF provides non-credit courses and programs to make accessible the University's resources for the re-education, training, professional advancement, and personal growth of the professionals and private citizens in its service area as well as the state, region, and nation.

Our Mission:
CE serves as the unit within Academic Affairs, for promoting the development of continuing education at UCF.  In partnership with the academic, business and professional communities, CE provides local, state, national, and international clients with distinctive, high-quality and cost effective educational programs and services.  The professional CE team is dedicated to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

J. Patrick Wagner, Ph.D. - Assistant Vice President and Director, Continuing Education

Patrick is responsible for the overall administration of the Division of Continuing Education (DCE). This entails all DCE programmatic and administrative operations. He represents the Division University wide and is a member of the Provost Staff.

Patrick has 25+ years of experience in Higher Education Administration. He has held continuing education senior management positions in the University of Wisconsin, Montana and North Dakota systems. Patrick was Dean of University Outreach at Florida International University prior to assuming his current position at UCF. He earned his PhD in Educational Administration at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.



Maria Cherjovsky - Assistant Director

Responsibilities: Maria brings to UCF 14 years of experience developing education programs for higher education as well 8 years delivering instruction of corporate programs and college credit courses. In her current role as Assistant Division Director she is responsible for the development and management of revenue-generating programs. As a seasoned instructional designer and trainer, Maria brings innovation in the customization of corporate programs in addition to her leadership in the areas of partnership development, military programs, grants and Workforce Development. Maria’s portfolio of programs includes Information Technology and Engineering, Fraud Detection and Analysis, Business Management, Real Estate, Antiterrorism, Bilingual programs and distance learning courses among others. Maria’s education includes a Masters Degree in Instructional Systems Design and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, both from the University of Central Florida, as well as a degree as Analista Administrativo Contable from the Universidad de Belgrano in Argentina.


 

Patricia Craft - UCF-Test Prep Program Assistant

Responsibilities: Direct support function to the UCF Test Prep program. Provides specific course schedule details and course information to potential students/participants. Maintains daily enrollment management services as well as serves as the primary schedule-builder. Pat's other responsibility is to be the instructional liaison for the program, assisting in maintaining cohesion between instructor assignments, compensation and logistical support.

 



Kim Malac - UCF-Test Prep Program Assistant

Responsibilities: Direct support function to the UCF Test Prep program. Provides specific course schedule details and course information to potential students/participants. Maintains daily enrollment management services as well as serves as the instructional liaison for the program, assisting in maintaining cohesion between instructor assignments, compensation and logistical support.



Martin Malpica - Information Technology Services

Responsibilities: Responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all Division data processing programs and systems. Planning and coordinating all technology needs for programs, conferences, and training locations. Hiring and managing IT support staff. Office, classroom, and computer lab manager. Development and implementation of new technologies for creating and distributing courseware.



Bunnie McPeek – Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities: Manages Professional Human Resource Management, Essentials of HR Management, Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement, The Reading Program and HealthCare Management programs. Payroll processor, maintains all Division personnel files and tracks all Division leave. Does all Division job postings and associated paperwork regarding personnel changes. Is Property Custodian for DCE. Does majority of purchasing for the Division and approves P card charges. Processes all outside vendor payments.


Becky Morgan - Coordinator of Administrative Services

Responsibilities: Manages Business Office. Handles program registration, accounting, invoicing, payments and student records. Coordinates CE credit programs and Study Abroad. Member of the Program Management Team, providing direct program support to all CE programs.




Chris Rose - Assistant Director - Business Development

Responsibilities: Chris brings to the Central Florida business community 14 years of programmatic and business development experience focused on industry and professional development training. He started his career at UCF’s Executive Development Center in the College of Business, and continued to build on his management and business relationship strengths at SCCorporate College, where he guided the Business and Industry Support Center as well as other Continuing Education programs. Chris joined UCF's Division of Continuing Education in 2003 and, through strategic partnerships and consultative relationships, has developed and expanded the areas of management/supervision, leadership, sales, marketing and organizational-based training.

As part of his primary focus, Chris is responsible for the implementation of customized and corporate training programs designed specifically to meet a business’ organizational needs and goals. He is also responsible for directing the following programs: UCF's Call Center Academy, the ROPES Challenge Course, UCF-Test Prep, Effective Management Training Series, Train-the-Trainer Series and the division's insurance training programs.
