The Summer Institute is intended for both beginning and experienced Advanced Placement teachers. "Beginning" is defined as teaching AP 0 - 3 years; "Experienced" as 4 years and above. International Baccalaureate teachers, those who wish to prepare for a future Advanced Placement assignment, and teachers who want to challenge their students further are encouraged to attend. Participants should be registered members of AP Central.

AP Summer Faculty: The faculty for all subject areas are trained College Board consultants who have taught AP classes for a minimum of 15 years and who serve as current readers for the AP Exam in their respective subjects.
