Take the Customized Approach
Whether your team needs communication, leadership, planning, or technology training, it’s important to provide them with the most beneficial training possible in order to get the best results possible. Standardized training can be helpful, however nothing will compare to the benefits that come with customized training. Customized training provides your organization with exactly what you and your team need to succeed.
Why you should take the customized approach
It’s specific to your organization:
- Your organization is different from others. A standardized training session may miss topics critical to your employees training or spend too much time on a subject irrelevant to your company’s team. You are one of a kind and deserve to be trained that way.
- Whether it be time or location, it’s important to have a training program that’s flexible and works to meet your needs. Your organization’s time is valuable so it’s important to find a program that works around your schedule and is offered in locations convenient for you.
The Division of Continuing Education at the University of Central Florida offers a Corporate and Custom Training program. This program works to provide customizable corporate training to meet the needs of any company. “It’s a unit of Continuing Education where we work with corporations looking to train their current staff, we’re a resource for them,” says Chris Rose, head of the program. “We’re completely flexible. We work to build content or modify existing programs.”
Drawing from a large array of resources at the university, the Corporate and Custom Training Program is able to provide training in a variety of areas and led by experienced faculty and professionals in the field. The variety of program topics covered include leadership development, supervisory and management skills, human resource development, team-oriented strategies, computer and information technologies and many more.
Companies are offered full flexibility. If an organization needs a full training program, UCF Continuing Education offers that. However, if an organization would rather combine their own training with that of modules offered through UCF, that option is available as well. “It all depends on the situation. We can be a supplement to your company’s program or we can provide the entire training program,” says Rose.
Organizations don’t just have flexibility when it comes to content, they also have flexibility when it comes to time and location of training sessions. Rose discusses this flexibility by stating “Most of the training is done during the workday at the company’s offices. They like having the flexibility of not having to come to the university. Yet some companies want to leave the office so we are able to host events at the university, our offices and at our regional centers and campuses.”
If you’re looking for flexible, company-specific training; look no further, the Corporate and Custom Training program through the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Central Florida has it all.
