AVT 203: Simulated User Environment

Simulated User Environment focuses on the simulation environment of the operator, hardware and subsystems. Multiple degrees of freedom (DOF) motion systems are examined along with control loading of pedals, yokes and other user feedback requirements. The integration of audio systems, including voice recognition and synthetic voice, is explored. Dynamics models such as aero models are explained as well as their effect on the user experience and the course concludes with a discussion of the host processing control of the simulation.

Course Objectives:

  • Control Systems
  • Motion Systems
  • Audio and Sound Systems
  • Host Control of user “Ownship” Environments”

Duration: 4 days | 9a - 4:30p (daily)

Based on experience level in the Simulation industry, 101 Simulation Overview is not a required course, however, it is highly recommended in order to obtain the full spectrum of the Simulation Elements and their learning objectives.

Course enrollment is recommended 2 weeks prior to the start of class.  If you have interest within the two week timeframe prior to class start date, please contact the AVT Training Center at (407) 381-5311 to determine seat availability.
