Management Development Certificate Program

Description

Are you looking for a comprehensive, competency-based, management training program with an emphasis on developing, expanding, and refining skills and approach? We can provide you with an interactive and engaging program that includes concepts, tools, and insights that are critical to success in a management role.

Participants will have the opportunity to examine and discuss course topics and current case scenarios through group exercises, individually assess skills and core competencies using a variety of instruments, and participate in numerous skills practice scenarios.

Participants will also develop an individual SOAR Analysis plan, including targeted opportunities for development and maintenance of skills going forward. A training reinforcement planning tool will be provided for the direct manager of each participant in order to ensure that program learning transfers to the workplace.

Instructor Biography

Emotional Intelligence Instructor Tom Horvath's

Tom Horvath’s professional career has taken him from the mailroom to the boardroom with roles ranging from Customer Service Rep to Chief Operating Officer.  Regardless of the job titles or role, Tom’s passion for “inspiring excellence” is steadfast – in fact, it is his personal life purpose.

His career illustrates practical expertise in strategy formulation, leadership consulting, executive coaching, performance management, process improvement, training design & delivery, and project management.  These skills and capabilities were developed at such blue-chip companies as Prudential, Standard Register, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and CNL. In addition, Tom has led a variety of consulting engagements around the globe with all sizes of companies and non-profit organizations. 

Tom received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Florida and his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University.  He has extensive experience as an adjunct instructor with Cornell University, Penn State University, the Crummer School of Business - Rollins College, the University of Alabama, the University of Central Florida and the University of Porto – Portugal.  Tom shares the integration of theory with practical application to the world in which we operate.
