AVT Simulation Training

This dynamic series of four day courses provides a sequenced learning experience beginning with the introduction to the fundamentals of simulation and training and segues into multi-faceted complex concepts. Concepts such as visual systems design, human perceptions, the simulation environment, control loading and motion bases are explored. Courses delve into visual database and modeling, component integration, installation, verification and validation.

  • AVT 101: Simulation Overview
  • Fee: $1,595.00
    Dates: 4/8/2025 - 4/11/2025
    Times: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    Sessions: 4
This course examines the major components of a simulator from a top level. It describes how the components fit together to develop an immersive training solution. The course targets those that are new to simulator design and development or to those that fully understand some simulator components, but not necessarily all components or how they all fit together. It covers general principles of simulation, common visual solutions to simulation, human-machine interfaces, and many aspects of simulation support such as concurrency, maintenance, and security.

  • AVT 202: Visual Simulation
  • Fee: $1,595.00
    Dates: 6/10/2025 - 6/13/2025
    Times: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    Sessions: 4
This course explores Visual System Design and the Synthetic Environment. Visual System Design examines image generation (IGs), image projection, display systems, image alignment, user points of view, and other visual system concepts. The Synthetic Environment introduces computer generated forces (CGF) and semi-automated forces (SAF), instructor operating station (IOS) and after-action review (AAR) solutions.  Simulation control, scenarios, decision engines, and other ways of controlling what the simulation trainee views during a simulation are reviewed.
