FAQ

How much do the courses cost?

The cost of our courses vary depending on length and topic.

Do I need any special software or hardware for online courses?

Our online continuing education requires an internet browser and an internet connection. You can complete your course using a desktop, laptop, tablet, or even a smartphone. You do not need to download any additional software.

Are your courses for specific professionals only, or can the general public attend?

We have programs for both professional development and personal enrichment. Anyone can attend our courses, including non-alumni.

I completed courses or a training program through UCF Continuing Education. Why do I not have a 1098-T?

The courses and training offered by UCF Continuing Education are for non-credit programs. As a result, per current Treasury Regulations, we do not include information pertaining to those courses on IRS Form 1098-T. For detailed information consult IRS Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Higher Education.

What is a CEU?

CEU stands for "Continuing Education Unit." A CEU is a unit of credit equal to 10 hours of participation (contact hours) in a program designed for professionals with certificates or licenses to practice various professions. Such professionals include engineers, financial advisers, accountants, teachers, lawyers, mental health, and healthcare workers.

If I have to cancel my registration, will I get a refund?

Please speak with your prospective program coordinator for information regarding refunds.
